Sunset concert, dancing at Lighthouse

This weekend, the Sodus Point Lighthouse Museum kicks off its new summer season. On Saturday, June 30, from 7 to 9 p.m., dance instructors from the Turning Point School of Dance, Ontario will be on hand to demonstrate and encourage audience members in the fine art of ballroom dance. Whether you are a seasoned fox trot pro or a wobbly waltzer, you and your partner are bound to enjoy taking a turn on the dance floor with live music by For Dancers Only.

View the vivid reds and purples of a Lake Ontario sunset from the top of the Lighthouse tower. The museum will be open additional hours from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Admission is free; donations are welcome.

Following the concert, stay to view the Sodus Point fireworks from the Lighthouse bluff. Bring a blanket or lawn chair (and bug repellent) for a perfect evening. (Rain date for the event is to be announced).
