THANKS go to Mike Fonte who has donated a copy of Vick's Standard Directory and Reference Book of Newark, Palmyra, Marion and Macedon, 1907-08 to our Museum files. A welcome and important addition to our files.

Ed and Betty Stevens are both patients at the Newark Hospital.

Sujeet Desai will play the violin, clarinet, and piano in a concert at the First Presbyterian Church in Lyons on March 4, at 4 p.m. A free-will offering will be received and a reception will follow.

March 5, Monday, is the date for the United Church's Chicken and Biscuit dinner. Servings begin at 4:30 p.m..

Congratulations to Jenn La Flam and Joe Bovet, on crutches, for their participation in St. John Fisher's 24 Dance Marathon. The 'Teddy Dance' raised $26,000 for Camp Good Days and Special Times.

DAFFODIL DAYS - Hope Blooms. This year the price of 10 blooms is $7. If you wish to order, please call me at 926.4436 by March 9. Let's support this worthy cause.

March 2 - The East Palmyra Christian School is holding their 7th and 8th grade Spaghetti Supper. 5:30- 7:30.

Marion Winter Sports Awards Ceremony will be March 8 at 7 p.m. at the high school.

March 9 and 10 - Marion High School Musical 'Will Rogers Follies'

Birth announced: Marvin and Cheryl DeFisher welcomed Abigail Elizabeth on February 13, weighing 8 lbs. 2 oz. and measuring 21 inches. She has pretty brown hair. Proud grandparents are Marvin and Loretta DeFisher and Doug and Johanna Williams.

Upcoming bus trips with the Palmyra Senior Citizens are: Tuesday, April 24, guided tour of the City of Rochester with lunch at the Crescent Beach Hotel followed by the musical, 'Viva Voca Show' saluting popular singers.

Tuesday, May 15. 'Grainery' Amish Tour. Lunch at the Grainery in Cherry Creek, NY. A Tour of the countryside with stops at Amish stores. Amish bake sale.

Monday - June 11. See Philadelphia Musical Mummers at Clemons Center, Elmira with Flag Day Show. Dinner is included. Call Virginia Lupold at 597.4372 for information and reservations.

MARCH 8, 1934: School was closed Tuesday and Wednesday due to the impassable condition of the county roads.
