Young Artists Festival at EPCS

The East Palmyra Christian School will host its seventh annual Young Artists Festival on March 14-16. Students will display adjudicated art works on the hallway walls and on hallway tables. Works will include drawings, paintings, models, poetry, short stories, and essays. Students will perform musical pieces, vocally and instrumentally, as well as readings, dance, and gymnastics. These presentations, too, will be adjudicated. Performances, besides those offered for the judges on Thursday afternoon, will be given on Wednesday afternoon for peers and teachers. A select number of student artists will go on to perform for the greater EPCS community at the Young Artists Festival Concert on Friday evening, March 16. This concert will be held at the East Palmyra Christian School gymnatorium and will begin at 7:15 p.m. All are welcome to attend!

Another highlight of the YAF week is the workshop presentation time on Friday afternoon. Classes at EPCS are suspended for the afternoon and the school is transformed into a beehive of activity as it offers instead, a plethora of arts/crafts workshops ranging all the way from cookie decorating to T-shirt tie-dying, woodworking to fishing, painting to drama and dance. Community members, experts in their respective fields, will lead the workshops and students may sign up to attend the workshops of their choice. Two 45-minute workshop time frames are offered, one at 12:45 p.m. and the second at 1:45 p.m.

Arts at East Palmyra Christian School come to life at the schools Young Artists Festival. Come see for yourself!
