Sunday concert at Lyons church

'Common Ground' will be playing at the First Presbyterian Church of Lyons on Sunday, March 11 at 4. The band, out of the Canandaigua area, plays a variety of music from bluegrass to contemporary Christian. The band has been together for about five years.

Brian Burley plays the guitar, mandolin and sings. Joy Van Riper plays the keyboard and cello and sings. Dick Sherman is the percussionist and Jim Kerr plays the banjo, guitar. He also sings.

Everyone is invited. The concerts are free, but donations will be gladly received. The concerts are approximately one hour long. After each concert, there will be a reception to meet the performers.

This is the third concert in the 2001 Lenten Concert series. The Lenten Concert Series is made possible in part by public funds from the New York State Council on the Arts' Decentralization Program which is administered in Wayne County by the Wayne County Council for the Arts.

The Lyons Presbyterian Church, located on the corner of Queen and Broad Streets, is handicapped accessible.
