Community Carnival is today, March 23, at the High School on Warner Road. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. and the carnival will be underway with games of all sorts for people of all ages! Proceeds go to scholarships for our Marion High School Seniors who will be graduating in June.

Happy 60th Wedding Anniversary Wishes to Jake and Jennie Hubright on March 29.

Meals on Wheels is in desperate need of people to deliver here in Marion. Consider this worthwhile endeavor. Perhaps it can be only one day a week if you are busy with other things. Call Jackie Kouwe at 946.5623.

Don and Mary Spittal are back from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. They enjoyed the nice weather and played some golf besides meeting lots of friendly folks spending time on the beach. Dick and Gloria Witter have arrived in Marion from Aiken, SC, partly due to the deaths of Art and Genevieve. They will be spending time with other family members and friends in and around Marion.

Spring concerts will be presented by the Junior and Senior High instrumental music students. The Junior High Band will present a concert on March 27 at 7:30 p.m. in the high school auditorium. The Bands will present a concert on March 28 at 7:30.

If you're in the Wolcott area, be sure to take time to shop at the Bargain Center on New Hartford Street, truly a wonderful place to shop.

MARCH 8, 1929: M.B. Dean will complete his duties at Albany the latter part of this month. Mrs. Dean and two sons will return about the 23rd of March, Mr. Dean coming soon after. The sugar bush on the Dean farm will be in charge of Hawley M. Short until the return of the family.

The Rev. Roger White, Director of the Odosagih Bible Conference, brought greetings during the morning service at the Second Reformed Church on March 18.

John and Eileen Ballesty hosted an 'open house' on St. Patrick's Day for friends and family members.

Tulips and daffodils are coming up on the south side of Mil Leenhouts home, and some of her crocuses are already in bloom.

THANKS to those people who have dropped off their favorite recipes.

All County Band Festival, grades 7-12 is this weekend at Pal-Mac.
