DAR will hold Show & Tell

learn more! The Colonel William Prescott Chapter NSDAR of Wayne County will stage a Show and Tell program at its regular meeting at the Chapter House, 119 High Street, Newark on May 16. Since the Items from Home topic was scheduled last September, the members have been narrowing their options to one personal treasure with a unique history to be offered in a three-minute talk. Rumor is that there will be a variety of keepsakes from a rare postage stamp, to a priceless document; from fragile china, to portable antique objects made of wood.

Following the 1 p.m. program to which the public is invited, the Regent Madelyn Jagger will conduct the business meeting. This will include a report of the Genesee Council of District VII Regents meeting held in Hornell on April 25 and the report of the nominating committee. Chairman Sylvia Harding of East Palmyra, Cynthia Cuddeback of Sodus Point and Jeanne Frey of Newark will propose a slate of candidates. The term of office is three years beginning July 1.

Plans will be finalized for the annual June Pilgrimage, which this year is a visit to the Memorial Day Museum in Waterloo.

Members will gather for the noon luncheon for the May meeting hosted by: Chairman, Joyce Johns (Wolcott), Winifred Barnes and Thelma Pangburn (Clyde) and Rosalyn Keifer (Lyons).
