Happenings On May 21, 2-4 p.m., members of St. Anne's and St. Gregory's Churches will be canvassing homes within their parish boundaries to obtain data on parish members. The goal is to reach all parishioners, discover their needs and to determine how most effectively to serve them and enrich their faith in Christ Jesus. Rod and Helen Adriaansen and Irene Klaeysen have come home after spending time in Florida, just in time to celebrate Helen's birthday, on May 4, at the Polimeni Restaurant in Canandaigua. Miss Costello, at the Marion High School, would like to thank all the students and staff who brought in clothing for the Children of Nicaraguan orphanages. They collected 23 big, jam-packed, boxes of clothes to send. You can be sure the people will be very grateful for your generosity! The last ROAST BEEF SUPPER of the season will be held at the Marion American Legion Post Home on Witherden Road today, May 11. Proceeds will go to the Marion American Legion Color Guard, The Marion Minutemen. Remember: The Marion Masonic Lodge and Richards Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star is sponsoring a Chicken BBQ on Saturday, May 12 at the Lodge on North Main Street. Servings begin at 3:30 and last until sold out. The Price is $6 for adults and $3.50 for children. The Ladies of the Eastern Star will hold a PIE SALE during the barbecue so come and get a homemade pie for Mother's Day. 'There is no end to the good we can do if we don't care who gets the credit.' 'HAPPY 106th BIRTHDAY WISHES' to Jennie Hermanet on May 15, 2001. Jennie now resides at the DeMay Living Center in Newark. MAY 15, 1947: Dr. Arthur Besemer was one of 70 physicians honored at the meeting of the New York State Medical Society in Buffalo last week for 50 years as practicing physicians. Chicken & biscuit dinner is planned on May 14 at the United Church; homemade pies. 4:30-7 p.m. Kids under 5 eat free.
