Special stamp and postmark for vets

Robert DeJohn, Postmaster of Newark, announced that the postal service will be issuing a special commemorative stamp on May 23 to honor US Veterans continuing to serve in Veterans organizations.

Newark P.O. will be using a special postmark for that day, with cooperation of members of the Finger Lakes Stamp Club, who will also be present in the lobby with a souvenir envelope picturing logos of 10 veterans organizations.

The stamp picture is from a photograph of a United States Flag flying in a stiff breeze. The stamp will be available in sheets of 20 self-adhesives.
