A chilly week but it was nice working outside in the garden cleaning things up and getting ready for the spring planting. Temperatures in the 70's would be nice. (If this keeps up, Ralph and Betty Everdyke will go back to Florida!) Betty Steffler and her grandson Brian are on the way back to North and have been making stops along the way. The other day, they stayed in Virginia and were basking in the sunshine of the beach. Maybe by the time they get here, it'll be warm again. If I'm not mistaken, the Bacon Family is now living in their new home in Ontario. Congratulations to them on their new home. Don't forget that tomorrow, the Sodus Garden Club will hold a Plant Sale on the lawn of the Primary School, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. And there's a Chicken & Biscuit Dinner at the Sodus Reformed Church, 5-7 p.m.
The Williamson Apple Blossom Festival is in full swing, and there's plenty to do: A spaghetti dinner tonight at the fire hall, 4-7 p.m. and a street dance from 8 to 11. Tomorrow, there's a chicken barbecue at the American Legion and fireworks at 9:30. On Sunday, there will be a Pancake Breakfast at the Sodus-Williamson Airport, 7 a.m. until noon. Also on Sunday, there's the Wallington Bog & Grog from noon to 5 p.m. Wednesday, May 23, the Sodus Middle School students will perform Guys and Dolls at 7 p.m. at the Intermediate School. Also Wednesday evening, the Kraft Shack will be having a class from 6:30 p.m. 8:30 p.m. It's a Table Fountain Class. You will make a waterfall fountain using a pot, bark, watering can, ivy, stones, a pump and much more. $50 includes all. Don't forget to register. Happy Birthday to Michael White on the 20. He'll be l4. (Very scary! Soon, he'll want to learn how to drive!)
Sounds like everyone is really having fun and keeping busy. Hope you all have a great week.
