Wallington F.D. hopes to buy camera

The Wallington Fire Dept. seeks funds to purchase a Thermal Imaging Camera for the entire Town of Sodus, under the Volunteer Fire Department's Mutual Aid System.

In Sodus, there are many life-saving tools that are used. However, none are so needed as the Thermal Imaging Camera. This equipment has many uses, such as search and rescue operations, allowing you to see through smoke, water rescue and looking for hot spots in fires. It also reads temperatures, such as body heat. In any emergency situation ... every second counts!

With your contribution to the fundraiser, Wallington can take one more step to help make the community a safer place.

Donation checks can be made out to: Wallington Fire Dept., P.O. Box 57, Sodus, NY 14551.
