Congratulations to Jayvee Boys Soccer Coach Shutts who finished the season undefeated.

Nov. 8-10 is the Christmas Open House with Michelle Palmer and Daphne DeMeyers. Location is 3945 North Creek Road, Palmyra. Folk Country and Primitive Original Art Items. Over 60 new original watercolor paintings of your favorite subjects 597.2659.

Next Friday, November 9 is the roast beef supper at the Marion American Legion Home on Witherden Road.

The young people at the United Church will be attending the American Baptist Youth Convention in Syracuse. Their Mission Project will be to assist Habitat for Humanity.

Traditional Sauerkraut Dinner on Election Day, November 6, is 4:30 to 7 at the Elementary School. Catch up on all the local news.

NOVEMBER 3, 1921: Members of the Baptist Church congregation packed several boxes of clothing last week, to be sent to sufferers in Russia.

Now that the Red Creek is cleaned out I hope they dredge the little ditch on Union Street.

Dedication services at United Church: The renovated organ was dedicated in memory of Alice Bush and Margaret Bush; stained glass windows in the lounge/pastor's study in memory of Evelyn Goldsworthy, Marjorie Ocque and Neva Claeysen.

Have you considered filling a shoe box or two, for the Operation Christmas Child 'Samaritan's Purse?' Shoe box gifts are being wrapped and donated by children and families. Each box may include small toys, school supplies, hard candy, flashlights, toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap, comb, brush and washcloths. Boxes are prepared for a boy or girl, ages 2-4, 5-9, or 10-14. The shoebox relay center will be in Fairville, Friday, November 16 from noon to 8. This mission is headed by Franklin Graham and supports projects in 100 countries.

This is the weekend of the open house at Leaning Barn. It will be held in the Van Lare house at 3909 North Main St. Lots of great antiques, holiday gift items and decorating ideas, plus free gift, hot mulled cider and homemade cookies. Get in the holiday spirit!
