Dear Dan and Mary: The leaves have been flying, I can now see the steeple at the First Church. Happy Holidays!

Buffalo street is now open. It is paved finally, after all the digging, noise and dust of the recent past.

Thanks to Don Leno, for his contribution of Marion Gas and Oil ashtrays and the pencil from Topping Ladders. These are nice additions to our museum files.

Denise Hutt, daughter of Pete and Esther Hutt, is working in Seoul, South Korea, teaching English for a year.

Christmas Open House, Michelle Palmer and Daphne DeMeyers, will be today and tomorrow at 3945 North Creek Rd., Palmyra. New Litchfield Hill Stationery products, all new country and primitive original art items for sale, watercolors, refreshments, door prizes, handmade ornaments and Pins. 597.2659.

The young people at the United Church will be attending the American Baptist Youth Convention, in Syracuse, November 9, 10 and 11. Their mission for this year will be to assist Habitat for Humanity.

The Marion Elementary School, Science and Technology Exposition, 'In To The Future' is November 10 from 10 to noon.

American Legion Roast Beef Dinner is this evening.

November 15, 1951: Three Marion women were among the 14 in Wayne County to become citizens on the first day of the November term of the Supreme Court held in Lyons on Monday. The women were Mrs. Jacob VanHall, Mrs. Jacob DePoint and Mrs. Paul DeVries.

Next Friday is the Family Night roller skating party sponsored by the Marion PTA from 7-8:30 p.m. at the Elementary School Gym.

Jeremy and Jessica Leno of Medina announce the birth of Cody Paul, 4 lbs., 15 oz. Great grandparents are Stan and Isabelle Bushart and Don and Marie Leno.

Seneca Foods Corp. will relocate its headquarters next month from Pittsford to Marion. Seneca Foods will move 30 to 50 employees to its processing plant in downtown Marion, according to Barbara Harper at Wayne County Industrial Management Agency. The agency will give Seneca Foods a relocation assistance grant.

The girls varsity soccer team defeated Campbell-Savona on October 26, with a score of 2-1 in the quarter final sectional game. Kari Miller and Danielle DeLyser scored goals.

The girls varsity soccer team defeated York, in another game on October 30, with a score of 2-1 in the semi-final round of sectional play. Scoring goals for Marion were Kari Miller and Danielle DeLyser. Goal keeper Lisa Colling, played an exceptional game.

The cross country team traveled to Newark for the league championships. Jane Bovet was named 9th place Central Finger Lakes Elite Runner. Rick Dean finished 52nd with a time of 20 minutes. Matt Hussey finished 23rd in the modified race. Great improvements were shown by Deb Hussey, Matt Elvin, John Boerman and Azure Hansen.
