Thanksgiving service in Lyons

There will an ecumenical Thanksgiving Service on Wednesday, Nov. 21 at 7 p.m. at Grace Episcopal Church, Lyons. The service of worship is being organized by the Inter-Church Council of Lyons. Everyone is invited.

The Rev. Cynthia Huling Hummel, of First Presbyterian Church of Lyons, will preach that evening. The hosting pastor will be the Rev. Gary Sawtelle. The offering will go to Santa's Sleigh - a new ecumenical endeavor which will provide Christmas toys to needy families in Lyons.

Grace Episcopal Church is located at the corner of Geneva and Lawrence Streets in Lyons. The worship service will include an ecumenical choir, under the direction of Camille Clark and accompanied by Annette Harris.

Anyone who would like to sing in the ecumenical choir is asked to come to a rehearsal, Nov. 20 at 7:30 p.m. For more information, 946.0097.
