Happenings The stained glass window with the cross on it is missing from St. Gregory's Church (opened in 1914). It is believed to have been removed when the church had vinyl siding put on. The church members would like to find it and replace it in the new addition that is being built. If you know what happened to this window, call Kathy at 926.4323. On November 20, the Western Wayne Art Group will be hosting a Video Night, a chance to learn something new about Art. There will be a video presentation on the subject of Art with discussion and refreshments to follow. The Art group meets the third Tuesday of the month at 7 p.m. at Walworth Town Hall, 3600 Lorraine Drive. Come out and support the Marion Fire Dept. at their Turkey Party, on Saturday, November 17 at 7:30 p.m. There will be FREE refreshments. This year they are offering: turkeys, hams and beef tips, at this annual affair. We have had a clothes dryer left at our house for $75. Is anyone interested? Are you ready for a bus trip? One is planned by Virginia Lupold of Palmyra, for December 6. It is called 'Christmas in our Home Town' with a Christmas buffet. This trip is to Beck's Grove in Blosvale. There will also be a view of the Christmas lights at the grove and at Onondaga Lake. They leave from the Nutrition Center in Palmyra at 8:30 a.m. Call Virginia at 597.4372 for more information or to make your reservation. It should be a beautiful, seasonal adventure. 'Happy Birthday' to Mary Filibert on November 19. 'I love thanksgiving dinner, with all the trimmings and eating too much all afternoon, but best of all, I love the leftovers!' November 24, 1932: Russell Freeman was elected manager of the boys basketball team of MHS and Genevieve Witter, manager of the girls team. Friday, November 30: 'Road Kill Cafe' Country Dinner Theater, will be fundraising for the Scarlet Thread Student Center, from 7 -10 p.m. at 34 Mill St., Sodus. Tickets are $6.50 each. Please reserve your spot early, as seating is limited. Contact Kim Stock at 483.0240 for reservations and info. Kate Buyck has been a recent hospital patient. Frank Buyck is presently residing at the Wayne County Nursing Home. The girls varsity soccer team lost on November 2, in the Sectional finals to Kendall with a score of 3-0. The team's record was 15-5-1. Congratulations on the fine season! Cross country finished its season November 3, at Marcus-Whitman. Jane Bovet finished 30th in the Class DD/D race. Rick Dean finished 30th in the Class DD/D race. John Boerman had a personal record of 23 min. 39 sec. for the course. Coach Pfeiffer thanks the team for a great first season.
