Pet First Aid class

The Wayne County Chapter of the American Red Cross is offering a Pet First Aid Course on Thursday, October 18 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and another on Saturday, November 10 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Red Cross office on 165 East Union St., Newark.

Pet First Aid for Cats and Dogs is a nationally-recognized course, for which participants receive lifetime certification. The three-hour course includes: how to recognize an emergency; Standard First Aid techniques for your pet; and hands-on CPR practice for cats and small to large breeds of dogs.

The course costs $25 and includes a companion book. Class size is limited. To register or for more information, call the American Red Cross at 315.331.3783.
