Gem and mineral show in Newark

The Wayne County Gem & Mineral Club and St. Michael School PTO are sponsoring a Gem, Mineral, & Fossil Show & Sale, October 6 from 9 to 5 and October 7 from 10 to 4.

The show will be held at McDonnell Hall, at the school, 320 S. Main Street, (Route 88) Newark.

Several exhibitors will be featuring a nice mixture of jewelry, fossils, and minerals. This year, there will be an exhibit and show by UV Bob's Fluorescent Minerals from Lopez, Pennsylvania. Teachers and students are encouraged to bring in their samples for identification by our experts.

Free activities for the children include, Saturday, soapstone carvings and Sunday, beaded necklaces. Refreshment will be available through out the day. General admission $2.50. Children 12 and under free.
