Lyons Elks promote Geneva train excursion
Each train will travel to the Town of Cayuga on a 90-minute ride. The trains will leave Geneva at 9 a.m., 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Saturday. (The train will also run on Sunday at 11 and 1 if the Saturday trains are sold out.) Please plan on arriving at least 20 minutes prior to departure. Each excursion will be composed of an engine and two passenger cars with seating for approximately 100 passengers each trip. Along the way, passengers will be able to see the beautiful fall foliage and the remember days past train rides. Riders will be able to have a unique glimpse of nature, including the rippling waters of Cayuga Lake, and cross over the historic Seneca River on a slow, picturesque and romantic journey through the countryside. This outing will be the first passenger excursion on this section of track in over 42 years. All passengers are reminded that the trains are not yet heated and they should dress appropriately for the season. The passenger cars will have restroom facilities. Food and beverages will be available at the boarding location and in the passenger cars throughout the excursions. Finger Lakes Railway is an active component of a vibrant Finger Lakes economy and services many freight customers in the Finger Lakes area.
