The school Red Cross fundraiser brought in more than $943. Thanks to all of you who contributed.

Today - Family Roast Beef Supper at the Marion American Legion Home on Witherden Rd.

Monday, October 22 - Chicken and Biscuit Dinner at the United Church of Marion.

Mimi Richards is home from the hospital following knee surgery.

'No matter how serious your life requires you to be, everyone needs a friend to act goofy with.'

October 3, 1914: In order to make room for the new bank building it was necessary to remove the trees on the west side of the lot. They had been there over 50 years. It is always with a feeling of regret we watch a large tree felled.

On Saturday, October 27, the United Church of Marion will be hosting a free lunch from 11:30 to 1, in the Margaret Curtis Fellowship Hall behind the church. There will also be a clothing and bedding give-away, from 10-2. Clothes are available in sizes infant through adult. The church is located on Main St., Marion.

This event is sponsored by the Junior Senior High Youth Group as their 'Make A Difference' project. Everyone is welcome to attend.
