Arts Council asks for your dollar

The Wayne County Council for the Arts is now the Cider Mill Regional Arts Council. The Arts Council has relocated to the Erie Canal Cultural Center, 165 Water St., Lyons. The move prompted the new name, which reflects the history of the building as a source for good vinegar and applejack, and the surrounding area of apple growers. Come see the larger, new gallery space, additional space for other activities such as classes and a juried art show. Hours will be expanded so more people will be able to visit.

The Arts Council is launching an Annual Appeal called Dollars for the Arts. If each one of us would just send one dollar and each business would send $20, Cider Mill would be able to run programs and provide music, art, culture and more throughout the county. Mail your dollar(s) to the Cider Mill Regional Arts Council, PO Box 164, Lyons, NY 14489.

Phone is 946.5078.
