'Quigley' and Deputy William Carr Sheriff K-9 visits St. Michael's

Last Friday, St. Michael School in Newark had a special Career Day for all students.

Pictured are 'Quigley' and Deputy William Carr of the Sheriff's Department. Quigley, a yellow Labrador, is trained to sniff out hidden stashes of drugs, and to find cadavers. Carr and Quigley were summoned to NYC to search 'Ground Zero' Twin Towers debris.

At St. Michael School, 32 different careers were presented. Wildlife Educational Encounters of America gave presentations on animals who live in the Rain Forest, desert, Africa, and the Amazon.

Storyteller Dr. Changaa Mweti, from Kenya and a professor at Keuka College, also talked to the older students.
