Annual Humane Society dinner planned

The annual dinner for the Wayne County Humane Society is Friday, November 9 at Burnham's Canalside at the Quality Inn, Newark.

Social hour at 6 p.m. is followed by a 7 p.m. buffet dinner. The donation for dinner is $20.

Guest speaker is humane educator Sarah Spaulding, talking about Animals in Society.

Lynn Barbuto, author of Savannah Sam, a children's book, will be available for book signing and book orders at 6 p.m.

Special guests are Sheriff's Department Crime Scene Dog 'Quigley' and Deputy William Carr, who aided in the search and rescue operation at the World Trade Center.
