Lyons church to hold service of Prayer and Healing

On Sunday, there will be a service of prayer and healing at The First Presbyterian Church of Lyons. The service begins at 10 a.m. The Rev. Cynthia Huling Hummel will preach. The title of her meditation is 'They Carried Him.'

The choir, under the direction of Camille Clark, and accompanied by Janet Buell, will share their musical gifts. There will be a time of sharing of stories. Pastor Cynthia will lead the congregation in 'A Litany In Times of National Grief.'

Offerings to help disaster relief will also be received.

The church is located at 11 Queen Street in Lyons and is handicapped accessible. There will be church school and nursery. A time of fellowship will follow.
