Missing Sodus
By Melissa White

The nightmare of New York City seemed so unbelievable as we watched it. It was something you'd expect to see in a movie, not something you'd see happening a few hours away. Tom and my son were just there a couple of weeks ago and can't imagine what the City would be like during this type of situation since it is so busy at regular times. Such a terrible tragedy.

The weather is getting cooler. Summer isn't going to last much longer. Speaking of the change, the Kraft Shack will be making a Season Change Fence Post on Tuesday, September 25 from 6:30 - 8:30. This class was offered before, so if you missed it, this is your chance to take it again. The cost of $22 will include all. You will make a post with a birdhouse, ivy and fence to hang for the changing season. Sounds cute. To keep classes at a reasonable price, they ask that you pre-register and pre-pay, or pay a $l0 non-refundable fee.

Don't forget the Pultneyville Community Garage Sale tomorrow, from 9-5.

US flag The nights are getting chillier, a nice time to sit down with the kids and read a nice seasonal story. Heat up some cider and enjoy each other's company. Both the Williamson and Sodus Libraries have a great assortment of books to chose from.

If you have an event or something you'd like to share, please write to me so I can add it to the column. Do you and your child have a favorite story you think others would enjoy reading? Feel free to send the title and author along to me:

Fly your American Flag and attend a prayer service near you today at noon.
