Thanks to Linda Roeland, Barb DeWandel and Eleanor Schoonerman who spent time at the Marion Museum during the Heritage Festival on Saturday. It was greatly appreciated. Also to those who visited, I hope you will come again. The next scheduled date is Saturday, December 1 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. or call me anytime.

There will be a PATRIOTIC RALLY at the Marion High School gym on Sunday, September 30 from 2-3 p.m. The entire community is invited! Military Personnel, Police, Firefighters and Ambulance workers are asked to be in uniform. Attending will be the US Military Color Guard. There will be singing of patriotic songs and brief speeches. This is sponsored by the Grace Baptist Church.

I was so happy to welcome Dorothy McKenna Mitchell to our museum. She was accompanied by her family. Dorothy's father Walt was Marion's barber for 77 years!

Mimi Richards is recuperating from knee surgery.

Barb Chilson is home following surgery at the Newark Hospital.

Howard and Ida Boise returned recently from Rapid City, South Dakota. Where they attended the 37th National Reunion of the 14th Armored Division. They took a tour of the Badlands, Mt. Rushmore and the Crazy Horse Monuments.

September, 26 1957: A five-year old Holstein owned by Elmer Drave of Minsteed Rd., gave birth to identical triplet calves early Tuesday.

'He eats like a pig' isn't necessarily an insult. The much maligned pig is not only one of the cleanest of domestic animals, it's also among the leanest. Generally noshing an average of three to four pounds of feed a day.
