Snowmobile show at Cinelli's

The Seventh Annual Chicken BBQ and Vintage & Classic Snowmobile Show, sponsored by the Williamson DriftRiders Snowmobile Club, will be held Sunday, September 16.

The rural setting of the lawn at Cinelli's Country House Restaurant, Lake Road, Sodus is a popular stop for snowmobilers.

There is free admission to the show. The $7 dinner will be served starting at 1 p.m. Show sleds will be arriving between 9 and noon for registration. The public will vote on the Best in Show in several classes, from sleds over 30 years old to the new muscle machines, and custom built classics.

A new feature to this unique event is the Swap Meet and Used Sled Corral. Local vendors and dealers of snowmobile parts and accessories will be on site, offering the opportunity for pre-season shopping. Anyone desiring a sales booth or to show a sled must pay a $5 fee.

Raffles will be held throughout the day, with the grand prize of winner's choice: a 2002 500cc Arctic Cat, Polaris, or Ski-Doo made available through Darrell's Ski-Doo of Ontario, and O'Meal Tractor of Palmyra.

The club-owned, Scandick 2002 Trail Groomer, purchased with money from the NYS Recreational Trail Grant Program, will be on display. Booths by the NYS Snowmobile Association promoting safe snowmobiling; The Webster Ridge Runners Snowmobile Club promoting their October Grass Fire Race; and The DriftRider's membership booth, will also be there.

The Williamson DriftRiders Snowmobile Club established in 1970, with over 70 members, maintains approximately 50 miles of trails in this area of the state recognized snowmobile route. They are members of the Wayne County Council of Snowmobile Clubs, and of the New York State Snowmobile Association.
