Lyons marks Library Week

National Library Week, April 14-20, is celebrated at the Lyons Public Library. A book sale will continue during the week.

On Tuesday, April 16 at 1 p.m., Barbara Bornheimer will teach a craft class for children. Children will paint a clay flower pot and then plant flower seeds in it.

The Great New York Read Aloud takes place on Wednesday, April 17 from 1-2 p.m.

A storyhour for children, ages 2-6, will take place on Thursday, April 18 at 11 a.m.

Jeff Snow, the library's technology coordinator, will teach a class called, 'Parents' Introduction to the Internet: How to Keep Children Safe,' on Saturday, April 20 at 10 a.m. Participants will learn about sites appropriate for children and how to keep them safe on the Internet.

An Open House is being held on Saturday, April 20 from 11 to 1 to show off the library's new collection of the Library of America series. Refreshment will be served during the open house.
