Author will visit Newark school

Author Kathy Ross will visit the Newark Middle School Library next Tuesday (April 23).

She has written many different types of craft books for kids, including projects focusing on the seasons, holidays, and specific interests such as insects or dinosaurs. Her visit will include sessions during the school day which middle school students will be able to attend, and an evening family program designed to interest people of all ages.

Ross's school programs consist of hands-on craftmaking - two or three different projects, as well as discussion about writing and publishing non-fiction books.

Tables providing a variety of craft projects will be set up for families to enjoy at the 5:30-6:30 p.m. program. The author will also then sign copies of her books, which will be available for purchase during her visit.
