April 8, 1911: Workmen began Monday morning to take down the tower bell of the Presbyterian Church. The edifice was erected in 1831 by the congretional society. The denomination was changed to the Presbyterian form of government a few years ago. Tuesday, July 23: Niagara Progressive Tour: Shopping on Queen Street and partake of a continental breakfast at the Royal Park Hotel. Depart Niagara on the Lake for scenic drive along the Welland Canal to historic old Port Dalhousie and see an antique carousel that was carved between 1889 and 1905. Still only a nickel to ride to Hernder Wine Estates followed by delectable dessert, chocolate fudge cake at Horseshoe Falls, Minolta Tower Pinnacle Restaurant. Proof of citizenship a must!
