Freddie's Plantland ready for spring

Tom Burgess and crew of Freddie's Plantland, W. Union St., Newark, are preparing for the 2002 gardening season.

With the exception of shrubbery and trees, all annuals and perennials are grown in their Newark greenhouses. Unique hanging baskets will be available again this year, as well as a complete line of gardening products.

Burgess is the third generation of his family to operate a nursery and garden business at that location.
