Toastmasters plan Poetry Night tonight

Toastmasters of Wayne County (Wayne Articulators Toastmasters) will hold Poetry Night/open house for the public tonight (Mon., April 22), from 7:15 to 9 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church, Newark.

The program features readings of favorite poems and original verse.

Judy Elliott of Newark, Vice President of Education, encourages members of the public and members of Toastmasters to participate in this special event. Familiar poems are often read. This is also an opportunity for the unpublished poet to present his/her verse before a live audience. In the past, selections have been from a wide range of subjects and moods.

There will be no regular program format until the normal schedule of every 2nd and 4th Mondays returns in May.

All are welcome to tonight's event. Pre-registration is not necessary.
