creative cake Scouts hold Father/Son cake auction

'Forces of Nature' produced amazing cakes at Cub Scout Pack 109 Father & Son Cake Auction April 26.

Volcanoes, tornadoes, hurricanes, floods, and other forces erupted in chocolate and vanilla and a variety of frostings and decorations.

creative cake Cakes were made by Christopher Duffield, David Duffield, Josh Young, Matt King, Andrew Parra, Andre Green, Tyler Trine, Nathan Phillips, Jason Goossen, Tyler Creller, William West, Nolan Anthony, Andy Mathes, Greg Wilck, Jordan Call, and Michael Chapin.

Cubmaster Bill Young supervised/advised the Cub Scout auctioneers as they encouraged higher bidding from the assembled family and friends. ($1000 is not a good starting bid.... and better to go by $1 or $2 increments than $50. You can't fault the Cub Scouts for their enthusiasm or desire to sell the cakes.)

Josh Young had the heaviest cake; Tyler Trine the most creative; Jason Goossen the smallest; Nolan Anthony the most variety; Greg Wilck the most colorful; Jordan Call the most theme-related; and Michael Chapin the tallest.

Proceeds went to Cub Scout Pack 109.

Cub Scout Pack 109 will be taking part in the Memorial Day ceremonies in Rose and Wolcott on Monday, May 27.
