United Way needs volunteers for fall

United Way of Wayne County is recruiting energetic volunteers to serve as liaisons between United Way and local school districts as part of its annual fall campaign.

United Way campaigns are run in every school district throughout Wayne County between September and early December.

Volunteers from each community are needed to assist with campaigns in: Clyde-Savannah, Gananda, Lyons, Macedon, Marion, Newark, Ontario, Palmyra, Red Creek, Sodus, Williamson, and Wolcott.

The ideal volunteer has an established relationship with the respective school district they are representing, and could include parents of students in the district, PTA members, teachers, local retirees, and anyone else with a vested interest in the community. Volunteers would serve as a contact person for that school district and monitor the progress of the United Way campaign in that area.
