Slide show on barns available
Rustic barns, stately farmhouses, forgotten outbuildings and steel buildings. All these structures are included in a new program called 'Cathedrals of the Land and Related Edifices.' Carol S. Bailey, Historian for the Town of Lyons, has this new program that is available to community organizations. The slides are accompanied by a narrative written by the historian that describes the buildings, all of which are located in the Town of Lyons. For more information about this program call 946.4379. These slides and accompanying photos were made possible by a grant from the Hoffman Foundation. Other funds came from the town historian's budget. These photos show buildings from the early 1800s to the present. Photographed over about four years, some of the structures have since met with disaster and are no longer standing.
