Service for those who find season difficult

A special Christmas Service for people who find the holidays difficult because of death, serious illness, or for other major reasons, is planned for Sunday, December 22 at 4 pm at the Park Presbyterian Church, 110 Maple Court. According to the pastor, Rev. Tim Johnson, Christmas is often a time for families to gather. When death or other events change past celebrations, the emptiness is often overwhelming. Bereaved and grieving people need a time to gather in a subdued setting with others who are sensitive to their situation.

Community clergy will participate; carols will be sung; special music presented; and candles will be lit in memory of loved ones.

This service is open to all in the community who find the Christmas season difficult without the presence of absent loved ones.
