Williamson Pancake breakfast tickets on sale

A hotcake and sausage breakfast will be held on Sunday, January 19 at the Williamson McDonald's to benefit the Timothy L. Barber Memorial Scholarship Fund. He was an employee at McDonald's in Williamson and as a tribute to him, McDonald's has sponsored the breakfast each year since his death.

The Scholarship Fund was established by Wayne Action for Racial Equality (WARE), a group in which Barber was actively involved. The fund provides scholarships to two Wayne County seniors who have worked toward achieving racial equality and are active in school, church and the community.

The breakfast will be held from 7-11 a.m. on January 19. Hotcakes, sausage, coffee or milk, juice and cookies will be served. Tickets are $4.50 and $3 and must be purchased in advance.
