dogWe definitely have had interesting weather this past week. Now, we're in another warm spell (30's-40's) with no snow and ice.

The Sodus Point United Methodist Church is having a Sweetheart Chicken and Biscuit Dinner on Saturday (Feb. 9) from 5-7 p.m. Or, you can head to the Williamson Fire Hall to enjoy a fine Spaghetti Supper, from 4 to 7.

Sunday you can have a special breakfast from 7 to ll a.m. at the Wallington Fire Department's Pancake Breakfast.

This Wednesday, the Lenten Breakfasts begin in Sodus. The first one, for Ash Wednesday, is at the Church of the Epiphany. Breakfast is served from 6:45 to 8 a.m.

kids on beachSchool News: Next Saturday, February l5, the Student Council will sponsor a dance from 6 to 8 p.m. Also on the l5th, at the Sodus Primary School the 2nd Grade will have their Pajama Party Day. Yesterday, the Pre-K group went on a field trip to the Post Office. (It seems like just yesterday we were going on that same field trip.) And later today, it's Activity Night for grades K-3 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Primary School.

Don't forget to stop by the Williamson Library with the kids, so they can visit the Valentine Card Factory. The cards your kids create will be delivered to a local nursing home and will surely brighten someone's day. The Card Factory is open through next Wednesday, Feb. 13.

(Speaking of which, don't forget that St. Valentine's Day is Thursday!)

I look forward to hearing from you. (It's been a while since I've been able to visit.) Enjoy your weekend. Be sure to visit the library and take out some really good books to share with the family.
