Volunteer coordinator at Arcadia Museum

Judith Harrington has accepted the position of new Volunteer Coordinator for the Arcadia Historical Society and Museum. She is an active member of the A.H.S., serving on the Exhibits Committee the past three years as well as museum docent.

The society's next meeting will be the Annual Dinner Meeting, set for Wednesday, April 10. Details will be announced soon.

The Arcadia Museum's next special exhibit will open by early March. The exhibit includes six Newark companies - three canneries (Edgett-Burnham Co., Comstock Canning Co. and Perfection Canning Co.), and three manufacturers (Bloomer Bros., Hallagan Mfg., and Reed Mfg. Co.)

Artifacts are still being sought, both loans and donations. Of particular need are items from Perfection Canning Co.

The museum continues to be open Saturdays from 1-3 p.m., and always by appointment. Tours of all kinds are most welcome.
