In this class, designed for children ages 6-12, students will learn about maple sugaring, from the time when Native Americans made incisions in the trunk of maple trees and inserted a reed through which the sap was conveyed to a hollowed-out log; to today when modern evaporators are used. Children will see a video and make maple sugar candy. The class fee is $3 for members, $4 for non-members and $1 less for additional children from the same family. Pre-registration is required as class size is limited. Call 946.4943, Tuesday-Friday, 10-4.
