Soup and Sharing in Lyons On Tuesday, February 26, St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church of Lyons will host the Lenten Soup and Sharing. The evening begins at 6 with a simple meal of soup and bread. Following the meal there will be a program. The theme: Favorite Bible Stories and how they've shaped our lives and our faith. Sister Catherine Gibbons is coordinating the program, on the story of Ruth and Naomi. A short evening worship will be led by the Rev. William Barrett, the hosting pastor. The program will conclude by 8 o'clock. These gatherings are sponsored by the Inter-Church Council of Lyons. Everyone is invited to attend these weekly ecumenical gatherings. The meal is free, but each person is asked to bring a can of soup as his or her offering. The soup will be given to the Lyons Food Pantry and the Lyons Lunch Program.
