Docent training at County Museum

The spring Docent Training Class will be held on March 12, from 10-noon at the Wayne County Historical Society Museum, 21 Butternut Street, Lyons.

The Museum is seeking men and women who are interested in Wayne County history and wish to become docents. Docents are volunteer teacher-tour guides who develop the skills necessary to interpret the Museum's permanent exhibits to school, scout, senior and community groups, and other visitors through guided tours.

The docent course is a unique educational experiencs as well as an opportunity to get involved as a key volunteer in a fascinating Museum.
