celebrating the new yearMissing Sodus

Did everyone have a nice Holiday? I have found with New Year's Resolutions that if you set goals rather than making promises, there's less stress and pressure.

Al Dobbin was presented with a leather office chair to go with his computer, from the Halifax and Marbletown gangs. Al said the old chair squeaked as he shifted in consternation while calling for help on the phone.

There is an interesting Sandwiched In Program at the Williamson Library on Wednesday, January 18. It's an Outhouse Program by Marion Town Historian Carolyn Adriaansen. The program begins at noon and is free. If you would like to have lunch, please call for a reservation on Monday, January 14 (phone 589.2048).

Ralph Everdyke says the weather is chilly in Florida. (Of course, chilly to Florida people is probably 60's. Right, Ralph?) We've got 20's and 30's here, although we are planning a warm spell of 40-something this weekend. (Just glad we don't have seven feet of snow.)

Town of Sodus residents can recycle their Christmas trees by taking them to the Town Barn on Rotterdam Road. Place your tree in the designated area until January 31.

Have a great week. Try to stay warm; get some cocoa and a few good books for the weekend.
