Southern residents 'share' their snowman

John and Michelle Malach send this photo from their home in North Carolina.

The Malach message said that 'since there isn't enough snow in Newark to build a big snowman like this,' they thought we might appreciate all the white stuff they've gotten just outside Raleigh, NC.

Yesterday's national news reported nearly a foot of snow measured overnight in Norfolk, Virginia and, here in Central NY? Not even enough to shovel.

The storm that hit the south caused air traffic delays in Atlanta, auto accidents and school closings from Alabama to Virginia. Forecasts for this weekend predict southern temps to range from the high 30's to the low-to-mid 40's.

Thanks to the Malach family for sharing this photo.
