Sr. Citizen Action Council to meet

The Senior Citizens Action Council will meet Monday, January 14 at 1:30 p.m. at the Alex Eligh Community Center in the Board Room located at 303 East Ave., Newark.

All S.C.A.C. card holders (yellow discount card) are welcome and encouraged to attend. Senior Citizens have clout!

The new S.C.A.C. membership cards are available at the Wayne County Department of Aging and Youth and are good through Dec. 31, 2002. The cost is still $1.

To renew by mail, send your old S.C.A.C. card along with $1 and a self-addressed, stamped envelope to: Department of Aging and Youth, 1519 Nye Rd., Suite 300, Lyons 14489. Please make checks payable to S.C.A.C.

If you are not currently a member and would like to receive a S.C.A.C. card, please send the following information (name, address, phone number, date of birth, and Social Security number), one dollar, and a self-addressed, stamped envelope to the address above.

The 2000-2001 Merchants Directory is still available. It lists all the merchants who will recognize your card in the Wayne County area. These merchants give 5% to 20% discounts as stated in each listing.
