Missing Sodus

The weather has felt a bit like spring. (If we could just get through February and March.)

Sodus Chamber of Commerce News: The Christmas Festivities went well; the House/Business decorating contest winners were the Moultin Home on Champlin Rd. and the Heluva Good Cheese Store. Prizes and certificates from RG&E and Heluva Good Cheese were awarded. The next Chamber meeting will be a Dessert Meeting only, on February 7 at the WCTA Credit Union starting at 6:30.

Sodus School updates: Friday (today) is the D.A.R.E. Program Graduation at the Intermediate School. There will be a Cub Scout and Girl Scout meeting on Monday, January 28 . Cub Scouts will meet Tuesday, January the 29 and Wednesday, Jan. 30. Girl Scouts will meet Thursday, January 31.

Birthdays: Happy Birthday to Amanda Dolan and Jim Malone.

On Saturday, (Jan. 26) from 4:30 to 8 p.m., the Sodus Bay Sportsmen's Club will be having a Chicken and Biscuit Dinner.

CAT The Sodus Point Community Association will meet Monday, Jan. 28 at 7 p.m. at the Fire Hall.

Mark your calendars: there will be an Irish Wake Dinner Theater on March 23. This event will be sponsored by Papa Joe's Restaurant and the Maxwell Creek Inn Bed and Breakfast. For information and details, please call 315.483.2222 or 315.483.6372.

Going out to dinner and wondering where you should go? Skipper's Landing on 7061 Lake Bluff Rd. in Wolcott is one idea. They are open year-round with waterfront dining.
