Crusoe Creek bridge open in Savannah

The NYS Transportation Department has announced that the new bridge that carries Rt. 89 over Crusoe Creek opened again on July 3. The bridge has been closed to traffic since May 13.

Construction crews will remain on site after the bridge is reopened to finish the project, but are not expected to impact traffic once the detour is lifted.

The original two-lane bridge was built in 1928 and was replaced with an up-to-date structure with wider shoulders. The approach pavement was also improved.
