Missing Sodus

Another beautiful week... although Wednedsay was a little hot...

The Library Programs are well underway with the Summer Reading Programs:

The Sodus Library had 29 people come to hear Laurie's Stories.

On Wednesday, July 24 at 11 a.m., the Williamson Public Library presents, The Breezy Heights Puppet Theater with Chris Grom from Livonia. His talent, creativity and expertise as a puppeteer are sure to delight children, while reinforcing simple verbal, spelling and math skills. Each show is designed to treat families to a fun and memorable event including several comical characters, guessing games and lots of audience participation! The program is free - no registration is necessary.

The Family Resource Center at 7172 Buerman Road, Sodus, is still in need of personal hygiene products such as shampoo, deodorant, laundry detergent and soap! Any all donations are accepted from Maureen Parks 483.8080. These items are free to the low-income families of Wayne County!

Looking for something fun to do this weekend?

Well, there's Pultneyville Homecoming; or

How about visiting a historic crossroads community of the mid-1800's. Step into the past and relive a touch of mid 19th Century Americana. See the sights, hear the stories, experience being where families like yours lived over a hundred years ago. Heritage Square Museum at the Brick Church Corners was proudly placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974. Heritage Square invites you to come and experience history with them. They ask a donation of $1 for non-members. As always, there is plenty of Free Parking. Group tours are always welcome and they are open Saturdays and Sundays 1:30 to 4 p.m. from May through September as well as by appointment.

concert Did you keep the lawn chair and blankets in the trunk? There's another great outdoor concert at the Point this Sunday. Ice Cream Social & Afternoon of Music. 1 p.m. - Fiddlers of the Genesee - Old Time Fiddle Music. 3 p.m. - Bourbon Street Jazz Band.
