Arcadia salt barns - old & new

Just one week into construction, and the new salt barn for the Arcadia Highway Department is taking shape.

Good thing... the old one is ready to collapse. The walls are caving in, shored up in some places. It appears to one of the crew that, 'The only thing holding it up is what's inside it.'

The department expects that the roof will have to be removed from the old barn to transfer its contents to the new facility.

The Arcadia Highway Department is located on Blackmar St., in the Village of Newark.
