Sodus Kiddie Parade this week

Calling all kids from 3 to 13 years of age! The Sodus Bay Historical Society and the Sodus Point Volunteer Fire Department are once again sponsoring an annual Kiddie Parade on Saturday, June 29.

Line up and pre-judging will take place at 10:30 a.m. at the Sodus Point Community Center. The parade starts at 11 a.m. and ends at the old Lighthouse on Sodus Point, 7606 N. Ontario St., Sodus Point, Wayne County.

Judges will be looking for the best decorated wheels. Bikes, trikes, wagons - pick your favorite mode of conveyance and spiff it up for the parade. A special separate contest will be held for the best patriotic costume worn by a parade participant. Delve into American history and come as Betsy Ross, Uncle Sam or any other historic figure.

Prizes will be awarded and all participants will receive ribbons. For more information call 315.483.4936.
