Dr. & Mrs. Diamond celebrate 50 years

Dr. and Mrs. Edward J. Diamond are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary today. They were married in Astoria, Long Island, on June 28,1952.

Janet W. Overend of Glasgow, Scotland was given in marriage by Mr. (Papa) O' Sullivan to Dr. Edward J. Diamond of Paisley, Scotland. Maid of Honor was Mary (Diamond) Obler, sister of the groom, and Best Man was Eric McCudden, friend of the groom. The couple first lived in Rochester, NY and then relocated to Newark in November 1957.

They have three grown children: Peter, Michael, and Charles, and 10 grandchildren. They are spending their 'golden' years at their home on Grant St. in Newark.
