Happenings At the March 6 meeting, the members of Richards OES Chapter entertained the District Grand Officers: Mary Poyzer, District Deputy Grand Matron; Lee Coller Sr., District Grand Lecturer; Past Grand Matrons Sandra K. Cleason and Sally Clarke; as well as Gale Cooper, Grand Representative of Nova Scotia and Virginia Gramse, Grand Representative of Texas. Refreshments were served in the dining room. Sons of the American Legion Easter Egg Hunt is set for March 30, 10 to 2, at the Legion Home, for ages 12 and under. Clark and Helen Dingman have returned home from a three-week Florida vacation, staying two days with Mr. and Mrs. Paul Payne, Helen's sister Evelyn on St. Simon's Island, Georgia. then on to visit Don and Sheila Pezza at Punta Gorda, Florida continuing to the surf at Treasure Island for a relaxing vacation and visits with special friends Dennis and Loretta VanStrien of Marion and Barbara and Amie Lyke of Melbourne Florida. 'The next best thing to winning is losing, at least you've been in the race!' Sherwood and Cleall Johnson have returned home after a vacation in Puerto Rico. Brian and Jill Adriaansen entertained family members with dinner on March 17, in honor of the Baptism of their son, Craig, during the morning service at the Second Reformed Church. Two trips scheduled by Virginia Lupold are April 24 to a four act mystery/comedy called Flannigan's Shenanigans. Luncheon of corn beef, Irish chicken, potatoes, cabbage, etc. Irish music and jokes and McNamara's Band. May 21 - A Day in The Country, a guided tour of the Erie Canal heritage in the Medina area. Buffet lunch at the Apple Grove Inn, musical presentation at the Parlor Theater, stop at Country Market. Hopefully apple blossoms will be at their peak. Call Virginia at 597.4372. March 26 - Sophomore Candy Bar Sale begins March 27 - Junior High Band: Spring Concert - 7:30 p.m., School Auditorium March 29 - Spring Recess - NO SCHOOL March 23, 1922: These teachers will remain in Marion High School during the ensuing year; Principal Ray V. Shavler; Asst. Principal Miss Margaret Wimer; Music and Asst. in 7th and 8th Grades Mrs. Maude Brewster; 7th and 8th Miss Robina Haskell; 5th and 6th Mrs. Edith VanOstrand; 3rd and 4th Miss Sylvia Lybert and 1st and 2nd Miss Eva Smith. Rev. Kevin Bushart of Odessa, Texas, has been visiting his parents, Stanley and Isabelle Bushart. Jeremy Leno and Children, Kyla and Kody of Medina, visited their grandparents and great-grandparents, Stan and Isabelle Bushart, and Don Leno of Marion, also grandparents Ruth and Ted Townson of Junius on Saturday. There will be two spring concerts presented by the junior and senior high instrumental music students. The junior high band will present a concert on March 27 at 7:30 p.m. in the High School Auditorium. The senior high bands will present a concert on April 2 at 7:30. Public is invited to these concerts. The 7-12 band members wish to thank everyone who supported them in their recent Bowl-a-thon at Doug Kent's Rose Bowl Lanes in Newark.
